Braised Pork on a Bed of Cabbage and Zucchini

  • 1 2/3 lbs pork chops
  • 4 cups zucchini, cubed
  • 4 cups red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 8 tbsp Ideal Protein Italian Dressing
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • sea salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste


  1. Remove all fat from the pork.
  2. Slowly cook red cabbage in olive oil.
  3. Cover and add water if needed.
  4. After 30 minutes the cabbage should be tender.
  5. Sear the seasoned pork chops in olive oil on both sides.
  6. Add them to the cabbage.
  7. Keep covered and finish braising the pork.
  8. In the pork pan, sauté zucchini and ginger.
  9. When nice and tender, add half of the dressing and boil for 1 minute.
  10. Add lemon juice.
  11. Mix the remaining dressing with the red cabbage and juice from the zucchini.
  12. Plate cabbage and place pork chop on the side.
  13. Garnish with zucchini.
