Sesame Ginger Beef Steak

The Sesame-Ginger Beef Steak will taste spectacular alongside 7 1/2 cups of basted green peppers.


  • 1 1/3 lbs flank steak, well trimmed
  • 7 1/2 cups green peppers, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • ground pepper, to taste


  1. Combine olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and garlic.
  2. Reserve 1 tablespoon of marinade.
  3. Combine marinade and beef flank steak in a plastic bag turning to coat.
  4. Close bag securely and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours (or overnight, if desired), turning occasionally.
  5. Remove steak from marinade.
  6. Set marinade aside.
  7. Baste peppers with reserved marinade.
  8. Place steak and bell pepper halves on grid over medium heat.
  9. Grill 12 to 15 minutes for rare to medium and until peppers are tender, turning steak and pepper halves once.
  10. Brush steak with reserved marinade before turning.
  11. Carve steak diagonally against the grain into thin slices.
  12. Serve with peppers.
