I began my Ideal Protein journey in July of 2017. In my late 30s I gained 40 pounds, and I could not take it off. On a 4' 10" frame, that is a lot of weight. I was constantly focusing on eating better and exercising more over the years but could not lose more than 5-10 pounds, only to have it come back. Exercising was difficult. I had always been active but the heavier I got, the harder it was to stay active. For the first time in my life, my knees and ankles hurt even just to walk short distances. I chalked it up to getting older.

I lost 40 pounds and went from a size 14 petite pant to a 4. I now wear a petite small or extra small top, compared to an XL. I ran in my first 5k in 10 years with no pain, and am able to enjoy being more active. I have been able to maintain my weight, have learned about proper nutrition and how the body handles food, found new and creative ways to eat healthy, and still be able to enjoy the things I love.
