I have always needed to watch my weight. I just never figured out what to do except adding more work-outs. I never thought I ate poorly. About 6 years ago I was able to lose 75 ls and kept it off for 4 years... but it started to creep back over the next 3 years. I was almost back where I started 6 years ago! My doctor was recommending high blood pressured medication and warning me of my Glucose level as predicates. I was so disappointed in myself, I had done all that work and had let it all come back... So I started adding the work-outs again and keeping track daily on a calendar. When I saw that I was working out 6 times a week and over a 3 month period my weight never even moved I knew I needed some other kind of help. I needed help with weight loss AND to learn how to keep it off.

My body responded to the weight loss without adding more work-outs, in fact I wasn't working out at all! The realization that all along the key tool that I was missing was learning what foods my body is sensitive to and how to enjoy life by moderating them. I still work out but there is joy in it now, it is not a weight loss job.
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
My number one reason to lose weight was to avoid the need for blood pressure or glucose medication. It became my "Why." I knew once I started down that path then Type 2 diabetes and other ailments were not far behind. After my weight loss my blood pressure is 115/75 and my Glucose is in the 80s. My doctor is amazed that I did it with diet and exercise and not with their little pills.
