After moving back to Texas, I met a new doctor who told me about Ideal Protein. I've only had limited success on my own, so I called them up and went to the free orientation with Mala and Sarah at IdealATX. I was wary having had little success with other diet plans, but they were honest and friendly and nothing they said triggered my bs detectors. What made me join? I watched another fellow in the meeting talk himself out of it saying "I think I'll try to do this on my own". Man I've been there and it hasn't worked. The most surprising thing is the amount of weight you can lose without adding exercise. When you're big, very light exercise can wear you out and that takes its toll on your body. They even encouraged me not to exercise for several months until my body adapted to the protocol.

I can climb four flights of stairs and not feel like I need to suck in all the air on the planet. Previously, climbing just one flight of stairs would have me sucking wind and breaking a sweat.
