I was always an athletic kid, but really packed on the pounds once I got into college and stopped playing sports. The job I got straight out of college had tons of free food and was very sedentary, which didn't help things. It wasn't until my husband and I discussed family planning that I realized I needed to get healthy for my family, not just myself!

The two things that surprised me were how much water we should be drinking (64 oz/day) and that I was able to shed the weight without any exercise. This protocol really reinforces how important the food on your plate is, not just the hours at the gym.
