I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a daughter, and a full-time pharmacy technician. My son and my daughter were both going to graduate in their fields of study and the last time I weighed this was 23 years ago when I was pregnant. In recent years, with the onset of aging and lifestyle, I had seemed to have found myself at my heaviest weight. My legs hurt when I got home from work and all I found myself doing in the evenings was sitting on the couch. I grew up being very active. I played all sports, I'm even a Blackbelt in Taekwondo. So, for me just to sit is not really something I want to do. I want to be able to play with my grandsons (which I have 3 of) and I'd love to run in a 5K someday. I love to be active and I felt I just couldn't with the added weight. Also, I wanted to feel better and for my family to be proud of me!

Lifestyle Building - Losing the weight
What surprised me most about this journey was: 1. How simple it seemed. I've tried all kinds of diets and this one just felt right. 2. That the weight, but more importantly the inches, just seemed to melt off! I had never experienced anything like it without having to spend hours working out.
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
What I enjoy most now that I've lost the weight is being able to be active again. After 23 years I've started teaching step aerobics again and that feels wonderful!
