I knew that I was getting too heavy, because my knees and my feet hurt all the time. Sadly, my old ways of losing weight were no longer working for me. No matter how I exercised or how healthy I ate, I could only lose 10-15 pounds. I really wanted to lose all the extra weight by my 50th birthday. Then, I saw a post on Facebook by the son of a friend of mine. He was describing the incredible job his mom had done in losing weight and said something like, "Momma better put some rocks in her pockets before she floats away!" and I thought, "I wish someone could say that about me!" The next day, I contacted my friend and she told me about Ideal Protein. It made sense to me because of specifically getting your body to burn its own fat. I knew that was what I needed to do.

Lifestyle Building - Losing the weight
For me, the first week was rough and I didn't feel very well. I had some headaches and some occasional dizziness and nausea. This is why it is so important to have a coach! I learned to make sure I took all of my supplements, drank plenty of water and ate the required amount of salt and olive oil. Soon, I felt great and I continue to feel amazing!
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
I still can't believe how much my body has changed! I think my mind still sees me as heavier because I have to remind myself to go to smaller sizes in the store. I absolutely love wearing clothes that fit! I don't have to hide parts of my body with bulky sweaters or sweatshirts anymore! One big victory was buying some tall boots. In the past, I couldn't zip them over my calves. Now, no problem! Also, my knees and my feet are no longer sore. I am looking forward to being more active once my Phase 1 is complete.
