Dr. Pickering with MS Sport Medicine is my knee doctor. Both of my knees are shot and I need a total replacement for both. I am also a Type 2 diabetic along with high blood pressure. During my second visit with Dr. Pickering he expressed his concern doing the knee replacements due to me being overweight and my medical conditions. He asked if I would be interested in talking to the Ideal Protein coach about trying to lose weight. I had tried many different diet programs but none ever worked for me and it seemed as if I was just getting bigger and bigger. So with my knee issues and with the inspiration from Dr. Pickering I agreed to talk to the Ideal Protein coach, Tomickeio Chigbo, a wonderful lady who really took me in. She made me feel welcomed and confident that the Ideal Protein protocol would work for me. So she explained everything to me and gave me a one week starter set to get me going. The biggest surprise to my Ideal Protein coach, Tomickeio, and I was the 28.6 lb weight loss in the first seven days. Tomickeio just could not believe the results I had in that one week yet she was the one that did my weigh ins so she knew I wasn't tricking her. The Ideal Protein protocol has truly changed my life and the way I look at food.
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
I can say life is good. Although I'm not yet down to my goal, which is 220 lbs, I'm steadily dropping the pounds and inches off month by month. Since losing the weight and with the blessing of my family doctor, Dr. Ard, I have come off my high blood pressure medication and diabetic medication which means I no longer have to stick myself with needles. I have gone from a tight 3 XL shirt to an XL. I have dropped from a size 52 waist pant down to a size 40 waist pant. Although I still have knee issues I can definitely get around a whole lot better not having to carry the extra 100 pounds around with me. I have learned what and how to eat properly and can honestly say I don't ever get hungry on this protocol. Truly a life saver for me.
