I am 52 years old, and while I kept myself in shape for most of those years, I slowly started gaining weight, and by the time I turned 51, I weighed 206 pounds. I should also mention that I am only 5’4” tall. The simple fact is that a person 5’4” tall should not weight 206 pounds. Prior to learning of the Ideal Protein Protocol, I tried several different weight-loss plans and even lost weight, but since there was no real plan to keep the weight off, it always came back. I have listened to Magic 98.9 since I moved to Anchorage in 2003. Over the last couple years, I have been following Brian Ross and his weight loss journey. If there is any one person to whom I have to give credit for my success, it is Brian. He was my inspiration.

Lifestyle Building - Losing the weight
One requirement of any weight-loss program, if it is to succeed, is that it must be easy to follow. I have watched others build spreadsheets, count everything, research, spend time ensuring everything is just perfect, and hope it all works out. Well, I don’t have time for that. Listening to Brian led me to believe that this plan would be easy to follow. Well, sure enough, it can’t be any easier. The program includes the Ideal Protein products, a schedule, and weekly check-in meetings where you speak with your coach to see how it is going. There is no counting, research, or spreadsheets. It simply cannot be any easier than the Ideal Protein Protocol. A key component of the protocol was the weekly visits with a coach at Ideal Health. This was huge.
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
I have always been active, but the heavier I got, the less active I became, which just made it worse. It was depressing. I have very few “before” photos because I did not like how I looked in photos. I was getting to the point that I was not sure if I could fix it. I knew I needed to lose weight and get back in shape, but I did not know how to do it, and although I have lost the weight in the past, I did not have the skillset to keep it off. Well, Ideal Protein has solved that. During the four phases, it is about much more than losing weight. The coaches teach us what we need to learn to keep the weight off when we reach the maintenance phase, which is the rest of your life. I started the program on December 26, 2017, at 206 pounds. I lost approximately 40 pounds in the first several months and reached 163-165 pounds sometime in May of 2018. Now, almost a year later, I am stable at 163-165. Now I workout regularly and feel great. My stamina is up, I am healthy, and also important, I am happy with how I look. There is no question in my mind that I could not have done this without the coaches at Ideal Health.
