One of the biggest challenges in my life has been my weight and at a young age, I had to accept my doctor’s recommendation and start taking blood pressure medicine. Towards the end of 2013, I decided that I needed to find a way to not only lose weight but to regain my health. I researched different diets to try and determine which one would be the right fit for me. Through social media, I noticed that a friend had embarked on the Ideal Protein Protocol and was having great success. After careful consideration, I decided to attend one of the local clinic’s information sessions where they explained the details of the diet and how it could easily work for me. After 11 months on the program, I was able to achieve both my weight loss and health goals, discovered how different foods affected my body, learned how to read food labels, and completely changed my lifestyle. I received personalized coaching on a weekly basis and acquired all the tools I needed to successfully get me through my journey. After I reached my goals, I was transitioned into a balanced diet. Since then, I have been able to maintain my weight.

What surprised me the most about the journey was that it was super simple. I was still able to do all the things I did before like going out with family and friends, all I had to do was change some of my eating choices, and I was still able to enjoy chocolate (using the Ideal Protein snacks) and lose weight!
Lifestyle Living - Keeping the weight off
I love that I can move and not get tired, the amount of energy I have is incredible. I enjoy not having to worry about weight limits for certain activities like riding horses, rock climbing, fitting in amusement park rides, and specially not having to worry about airplane seat belt extenders when I travel. I love that I can walk into any store I want, and I will find clothes that will fit me. Not having to take medication is so freeing as well. I feel more confident in everything I do.
